Architect Frederick H. Eley (1884-1979) prepared plans for this Masonic Temple c. 02/1913. A notice in the Southwest Contractor and Manufacturer reported: "Plans for the Masonic lodge building to be erected on South Center Street; Fred H. Eley, architect of Santa Ana; cost $35,000." (See "Masonic Temple," Southwest Contractor and Manufacturer, 02/08/1913, p. 23, col. 1.) More information on the building was published in the Southwest Contractor and Manufacturer issue of 02/15/1913: "Plans by architect Fred H. Eley of Santa Ana for a Masonic Temple building; location given as Center and Emily streets; 2-stories, brick and frame construction; first floor, stores and moving picture theater; half of second floor to be offices with the remainder to be used as lodge rooms." (See Southwest Contractor and Manufacturer, 02/15/1913, p. 22, col. 1.) A notice in the Builder and Contractor for 02/20/1913 reiterated most of what was published in the Southwest Contractor and Manufacturer: "Architects Fred H. Eley of Santa Ana prepares plans for the Masonic Temple Association of Anaheim for a 2-story brick building; locations given as Center and Emily Streets; stores and movie theater on first floor; lodge rooms on second floor." (See "Eley Prepares Plans," Builder and Contractor, 02/20/1913, p. 15, col 2.)
