Accommodating 869 viewers, the South Gate Drive-In Theatre was operated by Pacific Theatres.

This drive-in dated to at least 1954. A article, "Duel Sets Openings," appeared in the Los Angeles Times, 09/12/1954, p. D5, indicating that the film "Duel in the Sun" would play at the South Gate Drive-In. An advertisement appearing in the Los Angeles Times, 03/09/1977, p. F10, indicated that a double feature of "The Teeny Boppers" and "School Girl Temptations" was playing at the South Gate. This is the last advertisement found for the theatre.

Demolished. The area was primarily industrial in 2008.
