Director James Keach and his wife, the actress, Jane Seymour, bought the house from his brother, the actor, Stacy Keach, in 2004 for $4.5 million. Stacy Keach owned the residence from c. 1981-2004. Seymour and James Keach bought the house for the purpose of resale and did not live in it. They had remodeled and upgraded several other houses previously.

This 9,000-square-foot Mediterranean house occupied a six-acre hilltop on which a World War II-era Coast Guard lookout station stood. The house had seven bedrooms, six baths, a screening room, gym, 3,000 feet of balcony space, a three-car garage, a pool with pool house, and guest room with two bedrooms. On 07/14/2006, the house was offered for $14.9 million.
