The Sherwood Building #2 stood at 508-510 West Riverside Avenue.

Building History

The Sherwood Building #2 replaced the first Sherwood Building (on the same site) also designed by Cutter and Malmgren in 1890. The Sherwood Building #2 was an eight-story steel-frame commercial building, covered in a skin of terra-cotta tiles, very popular at the time. Gothic ornamentation was present on the front facade most notably trimming doors and windows.
