This second Walla Walla store succeeded the first retail establishment opened in 1860 by the Schwabacher Brothers, Louis (1837-1900), Abraham (c. 1838-1909), and Sigmund (1841-1917), who would go on to build a diversified commercial empire in the Pacific Northwest.
