Donovan designed a large campus plan for Eureka, CA, including a separate high school, junior high school, drill field, tennis courts, 2 industrial arts buildings, landscaped grounds with a reflecting pool, cafeteria, gymnasium, and stadium. Howard Gilkey served as Landscape Architect for this campus plan. Only portions of the grandiose master plan were realized. The original junior high school served in 2008 as the high school. Dr. Frank W. Hart and Dr. L.B. Peterson were listed by Donovan as "Educational Advisors."

The school housed 1,600 students in 2006-2007.
