Building History
Palo Alto developer Joseph L. Eichler (1900-1974) built 630 houses in the Terra Linda Tract during 1955-1956 and 1959-1961. Terra Linda t was his first subdivision in Marin County, CA.
Houses were one-story and had 3 or 4 bedrooms. The plans were designed by either Anshen and Allen or Jones and Emmons, the two primary architects Eichler used at this time. Prices originally for these Eichler houses in Terra Linda were between $18,000-19,000; in 2008, prices for these houses ranged between $640,000 and $1,000,000.
