"The house was carefully renovated in 1998 for the second owners, Richard and Rosemary Peterson. Under the direction of architect Jim Olson, who had apprenticed under Kirk, new work included turning the interior courtyard into usable indoor space, replacing worn out windows and doors, and new kitchen and bathrooms that took their clues from the design vocabulary of materials and finishes in the original house. The Petersons had furnishings custom made for the house by Northwest artists." email received from Christine Palmer, Historic Seattle, 03/04/2008.
