Douglas Oil Company operated at its headquarters in Los Angeles, CA, from 1935-1974. It began construction of a new 37,000 square-foot headquarters in Costa Mesa, c. 07/01/1973. It was located on a 3.5 acre parcel in the Irvine Industrial Complex. Construction was scheduled to end in 12/1973, and to cost $1 million. (The building's construction actually was completed in 06/1974.) 140 workers would work in the offices.
