Building Notes
After the Douglas Oil Company leased 38,000 square feet on the building's 7th, 8th and 9th floors, (for more that $1.5 million), it was renamed the Douglas Oil Building in early 1969. At that time, other tenants included Trans World Airlines (TWA), United California Bank, Western Airliens, Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York, Iberian Airlines, Prudential Insurance Company of America, Peruvian Airlines, and Viasa Airlines, a Venezuelan company.
Alteration
In 1969, a large-scale interior renovation occurred supervised by architects, Saphier, Lerner and Schindler. Silver and Meckler served as Consulting Engineers.
