The restauranteur, Walter Clark, bought this establishment from its founder, Marie Adams, on 07/28/1930. It was the first of many restuarants Clark would operate in Seattle, making him one the city's most successful restauranteurs in the twentieth century.
This popular restaurant operated in a modestly-sized building with two stories near the corner of 10th Avenue NE (later Roosevelt Way NE) and NE 45th Street. A kitchen, a curving lunch counter and several booths composed the first floor. The kitchen operated upstairs.
