This two-floor residence possesses features of the Tudor Revival along with aspects of the Craftsman Movement. The uncoarsed boulders lining the first floor recall houses in Pasadena and elsewhere in California. Lawrence Kreisman credited the house to "W. Sankey" in his book, Made to Last, (Seattle: Historic Seattle Preservation Foundation and the University of Washington Press, 1999), p. 65.
