The house was of Mediterranean Revival design, having two stories topped by a hipped roof covered with Spanish tile. The garden facade had a porch lined with arches resting on paired columns, a Palladian motif sometimes called a "Serliana."
The house and grounds of the Jewett House were featured in a 1927 book, "The Romance of Georgia Marble." A putto lawn sculpture made from Cherokee marble was featured on page 62. Another photo on page 79, illustrated a garden stairway and other ornaments composed of Creole and Cherokee marble.
