A historical survey in 1975 conducted by Folke Nyberg and the students from the University of Washington, indicated that this building had served as a bar and hotel, chinese laundry and a welding business since 1905. It rated the building as a building "significant to the city."
This two-story brick building served originally as a bar and hotel, but has had many uses. It was LeComp Welding in 1975.
