The Cornish College of the Arts purchased the Volker/Lenora Square Building c. 2007 in order to move its main campus to South Lake Union. At the same time, the college also bought the former Sons of Norway Hall, turning it into the James and Sherry Raisbeck Performance Hall. Alteration of the Volker Building for Cornish was done by Mahlum Architects.
