This house had a slightly pitched gable roof. Kirk also designed similarly planned houses with flat roofs. Owner Joann Gibbs recalled that she and her husband saw another of Kirk's houses in a newspaper article, and contacted the architect thereafter. (Tel: 206.243.2065). The Gibbs Family moved into the house 07/01/1956.
The house next to this, the Richard Beale House, was also designed by Paul Hayden Kirk, and was featured as a Seattle Times House of the Week. The house across the street from the Gibbs House, the Hubert Moller House, was also by Kirk.
Addition made in the 1960s by Al Sassanoff. In conversation, Mrs. Joann Gibbs indicated that Alexander Sasonoff was a fan of the work of Paul Hayden Kirk. (Phone conversation between author and Mrs Gibbs, 03/06/2008.)
