The Sammamish City Council voted 5-2 (01/08/2008) to fund a $34-44 million effort to build bike lanes, a media strip, a sidewalk, and left-turn lanes on a portion of the road between NE Inglewood Road and 187th Avenue NE. Some local residents fought the cost enflaming a controversy that spanned several years.
