The first inhabitant of this Queen Anne Style house was Peter Gessner, a sometime poultry owner and gambler. Dr. Willis H. Corson, the Superintendent at the King County Hospital, lived in the dwelling after 1912.
A later owner converted the Gessner Residence into a rooming house in the 1950s.
