Flooding caused extensive damage to bridges and roadways during the Fall of 2003; additionally, road work was halted close to salmon spawning areas during the summer. Efforts to rebuild the road were hampered by rains in 2006. The loop road, which contains paved and unpaved sections, connects Arlington, WA, with Lake Stevens, WA.

This road was closed from 2003-2008. It reopened in 06/2008.
