Mullen and Bluett sold men's and boy's clothing, furnishings, hats and leather goods at its long-time location at Broadway and 6th Street.

Building History

The Mullen and Bluett apparel store dated back to 1883, when it opened its first store in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. By 1918, at least, the store operated at Boradway and 6th Street. (See Los Angeles, California, City Directory, 1918, p. 1221.)

Building Notes

In 07/1952, there were two Mullen and Bluett Department Stores in Los Angeles; one downtown and one at 5570 Wilshire Boulevard, in the Miracle Mile District.
