Located in the hills of Contra Costa County, CA. This highly-publicized house cost $14,500 to build in 1938. It stands out as one of the best modernized ranch houses that was produced by Bay Area architects during the late 1930s. It's L-shaped plan strongly resembled that of the famous Gregory Farmhouse (Scotts Valley, CA, 1927) by William W. Wurster.
Most early commentators indicated that the house was located in the Soule Tract, Lafayette, CA.
