Tel: (323) 662-5757 (2012); this local tavern that became a hipster hangout in the 2000s. Its exterior was left intentionally mundane, with faux Tudor half-timbering and variegated brick facing. A competitor in the 2010s was the tavern the Drawing Room, across the street. It was known for its dark interior, surly waitresses and good hot wings.
