Overview
This shoe store, located at 6664 Hollywood Boulevard and designed by the Pasadena architectural firm of Hunt and Chambers, was completed in 1929. It was significantly remodeled in 1942 by the recently transplanted New York firm of Gruen and Krummech. In 1929, all 15 stores that sold shoes in Hollywood were located somewhere on Hollywood Boulevard, between the 6300 and 6900 blocks. (See Hollywood CA City Directory, 1929, p. 42 and 44.)
Building Notes
This 9,260-square-foot commercial building contained four separate storefronts at 6668, 6666, 6664, and 6662 Hollywood Boulevard.
