The Port of Seattle opened a newly remodeled and expanded Central Terminal in 05/2005. The cost of the Pacific Marketplace has been said to have cost $133 million. In 2007, Sea-Tac contained 49,667 square feet of retail space; this was 21,904 more square feet than was available in 2004. Consumer sales increased from $108 million in 2004 to $130 million in 2005 to $150 million in 2006.
This small mall was located within the central terminal at the Seattle-Tacoma (Sea-Tac) International Airport. A huge glass wall admits light and views to the Olympic Mountains to the west. It included an Anthony's Restaurant, which in 2006, the highest grossing business in the mall, earning $10 million in its first year in business.
