The 1932 Art Deco school was updated and remodeled between 06/2006-12/2008. Two ancillary buildings were demolished and 3,000 square feet added (to create a total of 264,000 square feet) during the $66.8 million project. Other parts of the renovation included: renovation and addition of new classrooms, replacement of the Industrial Arts Room and Cafeteria, increase of current gymnasium size with improved locker-rooms, the erection of a new field house, the addition of new safety and security systems, and the creation of new Community Use spaces. NAC|Architecture created the design; Garco Construction of Spokane, WA, served as the General Contractor.
The Pittsburgh Street Annex Building was demolished, along with the Family and Consumer Science/Art Building in 2006.
