Overview
This was the headquarters for the Seattle 1st National Bank in 1935. (See Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1935, p. 1662.) At this time, the bank had nine other branches around Seattle, including the Ballard Branch at 2050 Market Street, Broadway Branch, 216 Broadway North, International Branch, 524 Jackson Street, Georgetown Branch, 1209 Vale Street, Greenwood Branch, N. 85th Street at Greenwood Avenue, Metropolitan Branch, in the White-Henry-Stuart Building, Rainier Branch at 4824 Rainier Avenue, Seaboard Branch, 4th Avenue and Pike, and University Branch at University Way and East 45th Street. By 1942, Seattle 1st National Bank had 34 offices in the state. The chain had 46 branches in Washington State in 1948.
