Visscher Boyd was listed as an "Associate" in the design of the Beckman House.
At the time that Ain designed the Beckman House, the family consisted of two parents, two children and a live-in maid. Seven rooms all had access to outdoor living spaces; the Beckman House covered a small 50' x 135' lot. Ain configured the living room to have acoustic separation from children's rooms, but would retain visual connection to the children's garden play area. The house cost $9,250 to build.
