Building History
Architectural historian, Diana Painter, wrote the National Register nomination form for the Ellis-Martin House. According to her, all of the outbuildings, save for the tankhouse, that once stood on the property had been demolished before 2006. The rear of the property was zoned for multi-tenant commercial development, and a new entrance road was sited that took up additional front yard space. (See email from Diana Painter to the author, 10/25/2017.)
