This 20-unit townhouse development was the first in Washington to earn a Platinum Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. It was one of 7 in the U.S. to do so in 2007. The developer was Pryde + Johnson. The cottages cost more than comparably sized housing units elsewhere, as only 3 had been sold between 06/2007-08/23/2007, but energy conservation savings would make the properties affordable over time.
The 20 cottages were developed around a central courtyard, north of Green Lake. The cottages were relatively small by 2007 standards ranging in size from 1,571 to 1,856 square feet each. Their prices were high, starting at around $725,000.
