"Reorganization of the California State Department of Professional and Vocational Standards, a recently created branch of State government, is being proposed by James F. Collins, director. The department embraces one bureau and fourteen boards, the latter for the most part created to examine into and pass upon the qualification of persons engaged in various professions and vocations in California. In the third division Collins proposes to place the Board of Architects, Board of Registration for Civil Engineers, Boards of Accountantcy and Bureau of Contractors' Registrations. Two of these were created by the State Legislature at the last session nad the law governing them became effective August 14, last."
