A design review panel of architectural and art experts including Thomas H. Creighton, Editorial Director of Progressive Architecture and a Partner of John Carl Warnecke and Associates, Thomas Church, landscape architect, and Richard O'Hanlon, Professor of Art and Sculpture, University of California, Berkeley, was to review the new Saint Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco's Western Addition Neighborhood. The plans at this time were being designed by Angus McSweeney, Paul A. Ryan and John Michael Lee.
