At age 23, Atherton Paul Schulze lived in San Jose, CA, and worked as a building superintendent.

Draftsman, Henry A. Schulze, Architect, Oakland, CA, c.1907. (See Oakland, California, City Directory, 1907, p. 930.)

Personal

Relocation

At some point between 1900 and 1906, Schulze lived in San Jose, CA, at 70 East Julian Street. (See Ancestry.com, Source Citation California State Library; Sacramento, California; Great Register of Voters, 1900-1968, accessed 04/24/2018.)

According to Alameda County voter records, Atherton P. Schulze lived across the street from his father in Oakland's 7th Ward in 1904. Atherton resided at 511 East 17th Street, while Henry resided at 512 East 17th. It is possible that the voter records were in error, as Atherton was listed as living with his parents at 512 East 17th Street in 1907. (See Oakland, California, City Directory, 1907, p. 930.)

Parents

His father was the architect architect Henry A. Schulze (1853-1926).

Emma L. Reed (born c. 1852 in NH-d. 04/25/1930 in Los Angeles County, CA), Atherton's mother, worked in the house.

He had two siblings, Edith M. Schulze (02/27/1880 in Oakland, CA-d. 11/11/1970 in Alameda County, CA), Atherton Paul Schulze (born 12/02/1882 in Oakland, CA) and Howard Reed Schulze (born 08/20/1887 in Oakland, CA-d. 07/02/1954).
