College
B.A., University of Washington, Seattle, WA. At the UW, Keller studied interior design under Professor Hope Foote. A classmate was the noted fabric and industrial designer, Jack Lenor Larsen (born 1927 in Seattle, WA), as well as his future wife, Patricia.
Tokyo University, Tokyo, Japan, 1953. He studied the architectural history of Japan and China, and worked with Kenzo Tange (1913-2005).

Dale married Patricia Keller.
Children
Dale and Pat had two sons, Mark Keller (born in Tokyo, Japan,) and Andrew Keller (born in Hong Kong, then a Crown Colony of Great Britain).
Biographical Notes
Pat and Dale Keller were notable collectors of Asian antiquities. They donated their collection of 53 objects to the British Museum in 2010.
