Under Gregory as CEO, Mithun (as well as the Russell Family Foundation in Gig Harbor, WA), provided funding for the Mithun/Russell Family Foundation Professorship in Sustainability at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Washington. The first holders of the fellowship were Stephen Kieran and James Timberlake of Kieran Timberlake Architects.
