Born in Illinois, Dapprich and his wife resided in New York, NY, where he worked as a waiter. Dapprich died in Port Huemene, Ventura County, CA, at the age of 84.

His mother's maiden name was Hilgarten; she was from MD. His father was Ferdinand (Frederick) Dapprich, an immigrant from Germany; he served in the Civil War as a musician in the 24th Regiment, Illinois Infantry.

Fred Dapprich married Margaret E. Dapprich before 1918. She was born in Chicago, IL, c. 1885; her father was born in NY, her mother was of English-Irish descent.

SSN: 545-46-6534. His World War I Draft Card dated 09/12/1918 described Dapprich as tall and slender with brown hair and brown eyes.
