Originally opened as the Warner Theatre, the Forum was built at a time when the surrounding neighborhood was still nice. The theater's unique facade is the only one of its kind in Los Angeles and was probably designed after the marquee of the old Rivoli theater in New York (now razed). The Forum had a very large Kimball organ. The organ would later be transfered to the Wiltern, where it remained until the theater closed in the mid 1980's. The Forum would serve has the home office for CINERAMA until the early 1970's. This theater was not a public Cinerama house, but was used by the company for print testing and shipping. In the late 1970's, it became a church. Contributed by William Gabel
