Article by Heather MacIntosh, October 21, 1998: "Community leaders such as Henry Yesler (1810-1892) and Judge Thomas Burke (1849-1925) provided the architect with critical commissions in 1889. Fisher’s Pioneer Building and the Burke Building (now destroyed) fueled interest in his firm, which was reportedly responsible for more than 50 buildings in the 12 months after the fire.
