Founded by Barnett "Bud" Schorr, Barnett Schorr and Company, Architects, became a leading historic preservation firm on the West Coast in the 1970s-1980s. Briefly, c. 1978-1979, the firm was known as Barnett Schorr, Miller Company, although the name changed to "Barnett Schorr Architects" c. 1986. Schorr worked primarily in Seattle, WA, although in 1986, the firm gained acclaim for its renovation of the Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, CA.
