"J.C. Stevens and R.E. Koon have announced their new consolidation under the firm name, Stevens and Koon, Consulting Engineers, with offices in the Spaulding Building, Portland, Oregon." (See "Personal," Journal of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Volume 39, no. 11,11/19120, p. 1012.) Another notice appeared in the Engineering World, 12/1920: "Stevens & Koon, consulting engineers, Spalding Building, Portland, Ore, is a new organization formed by J.C. Stevens, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and of the Associated American Institute of Electrical Engineers, and R.E. Koon, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. They will give particular attention to matters pertaining to municipal improvements, water supply, sewerage, irrigation, hydroelectric power, appraisals and valuation."
