Arthur H. Stiles, Franklin L. Stiles

The Stiles Brothers were active in Seattle residential building c. 1901. A newspaper article in the Seattle Times of 05/25/1901 stated: "During the past few years Stiles Brothers of Chicago have built a number of six and seven room houses which they have disposed of to homeseekers at a fair advance on the cost of the building and lot. They have, however, ceased operations on this line of business and will henceforth build smaller houses in the belief that they will sell better." (See "Speculation in House Building," Seattle Daily Times, 05/25/1901, p. 26.)
