The Puget Sound Bridge and Dredging Company, headquartered in Seattle, WA, took on many large-scale bridge-builkding and ship building projects during its 61-years in operation. In 1916, it had its offices in Rooms #432-441 of the Central Building in Seattle. (See "Puget Sound Bridge and Dredging Company advertisement," R.L. Polk and Company's Seattle City Directory, 1916, p. 738.)
It was purchased by the Los Angeles-based Lockheed Corporation in 1959 and was renamed the "Lockheed Shipbuilding and Construction Company."
