With the completion of a new passenger terminal at Interbay Pier 91, this temporary terminal was to be demolished and returned to its previous usage as a freight port. It cost $18 million to convert Terminal 30 into a passenger facility, and would cost $55.9 million. Its completion would be done in two stages, the first from 10/2007-04/2008 and second, 10/2008-05/2009. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration negotiated a deal to moor four of its marine vessels at Terminal 30 in 10/2007.

This terminal had north and south sections.
