Charles Toberman owned the building and was a Director of the bank installed there in 1924.

The Hollywood developer, Charles E. Toberman (1880-1981), originally from TX, commissioned this building. Toberman was a leading developer in Hollywood in the 1920s.

Located on the the southeast corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Cahuenga Avenue, the Toberman Building had a portion remodeled in 1924, to create space for the Federal Trust and Savings Bank.
