Building History

Land for this Lake City Branch was purchased and its plans and specifications made in 1964. John M. Morse and Associates was the architect for this branch. Construction was complete by 11/1965.

Building Notes

The noted Seattle artist, George Tsutakawa (1910–1997), designed the iron front gates to the library.

Alteration

ARC Architects and Bayley Construction collaborated on a renovation of the Lake City Library completed in 08/2005. ARC's addition expanded the library by 6,287 sqaure feet from its original 9,013-square-foot branch.
