This convent, housing Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, first opened in a remodeled private residence at 252 10th Avenue; the chapel of the convent had its dedication on 12/08/1908. According to the "The History of the Star of the Seas Schools," "One room of this convent served as the refectory, community room, and laundry."
