The small unincorporated town of Belfair,WA, previously operated leased library spaces in Dorothy Newkirk Harper's Belfair Drug Store (1950-1958), A television shop (1966-1976), and to larger space (1976-1979). This 14,400 square foot library was erected in 1978-1979, and officially opened in 11/1979. When a new North Mason Branch was built in 03/1998, this previous library was reused to become the Hoodsport Library in 03/1997.
