Scott Johnson, a partner with the Seattle architecture firm, NBBJ and his wife, Gretchen, a retail construction manager for Limited Brands, rebuilt this dwelling for themselves beginning in October 2004. It was 17 feet wide, and cost $250 a square foot. The house has curtain walls on the north and south sides.

Architect's own house;

In 2004-2005, the Johnsons renovated a spec house that they had purchased in 1988. Remodeling work began in 10/2004. This previous house featured a sweeeping view of Puget Sound, and was the reason the Johnsons bought it. Only one room was not remodeled, the office of Gretchen Johnson.
