In 1986, Knudsen Foods, Incorporated, was in bankruptcy, and sold half of its holdings in California and Nevada to Kraft Incorporated and Hughes Markets. The plants sold were located in Los Angeles, Visalia, Modesto, and Fresno, Calif., and Las Vegas, Nev. Kraft received those units producing cultured milk goods, Hughes obtained the fluid milk plants. The sale may have included this office building designed by Carrington Lewis.
