Garden History

Designed by the renowned San Francico landscape architect Thomas Dolliver Church (1902-1978), the Martin Garden commission was one of the best-known, modernist California gardens of the 1950s.

Garden Notes

The San Francisco-based architect Hervery Parke Clark (1899-1982) designed the Martin Beach House in 1947-1948.

The free-lance phtoographer Rondal Partridge (1917-2015) made photographs of the Martin Garden.
