Tuolomne County; P.O. Box 578, Yosemite National Park, California 95389;

The lodge was dedicated by members of the Sierra Club, 07/03/1904; its design has been attributed to Mark White, Berkeley architect Bernard Maybeck's brother-in-law.

A roughly L-shaped structure, the chapel was marked by a steeply-pitched conic roof. The walls of the building were constructed of coarsed ashlar masonry, with the ends of the L punctuated by parapeted gables.

The house was moved in 1919 to its present site on Southside Drive, across from the Housekeeping Cabins;
